Why are we Christians so deprived of being able to change people’s hearts to have faith in God?

Answer:
As mentioned as the answer to the question “If faith is the only thing we have to go on, how can I dispel anyone else’s faith in their god?”, the role of changing people’s hearts is the role of the Holy Spirit, not Christians. However, Christians do have a role that is to share the gospel, pray and also to be good witnesses and examples.
Man by nature is sinful (Romans 3:22-23) and his heart is darkened (Romans 1:21). He is dead in sin (Ephesians 2:1) and only God by His Spirit can grant him understanding (1 Corinthians 2:6-14) and make him alive in Christ (Ephesians 2:4-5). Therefore it is not a man who turns people’s hearts to God but the Holy Spirit living in him.
